The Imeretian Wine Challenge 2025, organized by DMO-Imereti and Imeretian Wine Association, will be held for the third time on October 10-12, 2025.
The aim of the competition is to promote and develop wine tourism in Georgia – to raise awareness of Imeretian grape varieties, Imeretian wine and Imereti as a viticulture and winemaking region in general.
Imereti, as a wine-producing region, deserves a place on the world „Wine Map”, because, there is a region in Georgia that has its own winemaking technology and wines with a distinctive bouquet.
It is our desire for Imeretian wine to establish its niche outside the country and the term “Imeretian wine” to be associated with the ancient culture of its production.
The competition samples will be tasted by a jury consisting of Georgian and foreign experts. The anonymity of the company will be protected during the wine tasting.
