Rome, March 2, 2026 – The curtains have fallen on the XIV edition of the Roma Whisky Festival & Brown Spirits, held February 28 and March 1 at the Salone delle Fontane (Via Ciro il Grande 10, Rome EUR). From 2 PM to 9 PM each day, over 2,500 square meters buzzed with more than 60 exhibitors showcasing 1,000 labels from around the globe. Whisky lovers, collectors, and newcomers alike immersed themselves in free tastings, masterclasses, and a vibrant mixology scene, making this year’s event a resounding success.
The festival expanded its appeal beyond whisky to brown spirits like rum, cognac, armagnac, and brandy. Over 20 masterclass sessions, led by international guests, delved into the flavors, histories, and production secrets of these noble distillates. Beginners got a gentle introduction via the “ABC del Whisky” course, while live music and a dedicated cigar lounge added relaxed vibes.

A major highlight was the new *vintage area*, in partnership with ORO Room, featuring rare 20th-century bottles that drew serious collectors. The *ORO Whisky Bar*served bespoke cocktails, blending innovation with tradition. The event capped off with the “Whisky & Lode” awards, honoring the festival’s top pours.
Producers mingled directly with attendees, pouring rare and exclusive drams. Historic Roman pub *Morrison’s* stole the show with a whisky custom-made for their venue, paired with the owner’s prized collection of rare spirits – a true insider’s treasure.
Global powerhouse *Stock* brought an impressive lineup, incorporating renowned Scottish and Japanese whiskies alongside their world-class portfolio.
*Pallini* showcased their signature marques, while lesser-known but ultra-premium gems from niche distillers offered discoveries for seasoned palates.
Italy shone brightly with a groundbreaking *Italian whisky* from a former grappa distillery. Matured in barrels of Amarone or Gewürztraminer, this novelty fuses local winemaking heritage with whisky craft – an absolute rarity on Italian soil and a global talking point. Producers were on hand to share stories behind these experimental finishes, sparking lively debates on the future of Italian distilling.

Rare whiskies abounded, with on-site tastings from producers ensuring authenticity and fresh insights. From vintage Scotch to Japanese precision, the diversity painted a panoramic view of the spirits world.
